Honourable guests and esteemed partners,

• A warm welcome to all for joining us on this momentous occasion - the official groundbreaking of a new office tower here in Tun Razak Exchange, Malaysia’s International Financial Centre.
• Today marks another major milestone in the journey of TRX.
• This new 39-storey tower, designed to international standard, will be a standout addition to our district.
• Once completed in 2029, it will be anchored by one of the most respected names in the professional services, PwC.
• The firm’s decision to move its headquarters here is a strong endorsement of TRX as the preferred premium international business address.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

• Since TRX inauguration in February 2024 by YAB Prime Minister, TRX has seen exponential momentum.
• As an economic enabler, we will continue to respond decisively to the government’s call: to position Kuala Lumpur as a global hub, accelerate high-quality investments, and embed ESG as a core strategic pillar in everything we do.
• Over the past decade, we are always conscious about the market, and we ensure that TRX does not embark on speculative development. As a result, TRX has delivered over 9 million sqft of GFA covering office, retail, hotel and residential components. Today, we are proud to report that retail is nearing full occupancy, residential projects are more than 95% sold, and office buildings currently in operation have reached close to 80% occupancy based on NLA.
• In just over a year, more global companies are choosing TRX. This includes Ant International, Bin Zayed Group, MUFG Investor Services and others. These milestones signal strong trust in KL’s potential as a business and financial hub.

Ladies and gentlemen,

• As always, we are guided by data and demand. With strong momentum and projected full occupancy in the near term, today’s groundbreaking marks the timely launch of TRX’s newest office development, welcoming TRX 10th building.
• The new building will have flexible floorplates, multi-level security, and easy access to the MRT station. It will also come with WELL Core & Shell certifications supporting workers’ health and wellbeing, exemplifying the forward-thinking architecture and biophilic design that define TRX as a future-ready workplace.
• This is aligned to the TRX District’s ESG standards as the first neighbourhood LEED Gold and GBI Platinum Township certifications in the region.

Ladies and gentlemen,

• TRX is now home to over 20,000 knowledge workers and supported by another 10,000 retail workers, representing a wide range of industries - from global financial institutions and tech giants, to leading MNCs, luxury brands and exciting retail offerings, and more recently, high impact AI driven industry.
