Medium: Mixed media on canvas
Size: 183cm x 304cm
RM 10,000
Throughout time, various forms of life have emerged on Earth. The unidentified creatures possess advanced technological knowledge that grants human beings high intelligence (IQ). They utilize humans as subjects for experiments, aiming to create a sentient robot. However, these robots lack emotions and could potentially threaten humanity's existence in the future.
The fusion of humans and machines has resulted in a new form of life in the future world, capable of interacting and reproducing with different creatures endlessly. These beings, characterized by red flesh, are on the verge of being digitized. They no longer experience genuine emotions and feelings but instead continue to propagate until the world is ultimately destroyed.

This series was born out of the artist’s life experience, when the changes faced in art school triggered Tong to explore her second source of inspiration, where self-doubt, sullenness and confusion led to uncertainty. Instead of running away from an atmosphere of shock and embarrassment, the artist honed into her inner story. Being lonely and without listeners has allowed Tong to strengthen her own artistic style and build on her works’ beauty and originality. The path to the next stop is to move forward while being true to self and enjoying the journey.

Positive Affirmations I, II & III
Medium: Mixed media on canvas
Size: 61.0 x 91.4 cm
RM 2,500 (each)
These pieces were inspired by the environment an Asian child grows up in, typically with tough love from parents but as time passes, gentle parenting is more encouraged nowadays. However, during my childhood, we must become our own gentle parent by accepting who we are because our parents, despite meaning well for us to succeed in life, tend to have high expectations that can cause damage if we do not balance it out with self-acceptance and self-love.

Size (cm): 116.84cm x 116.84cm
RM 3,000
Two rabbits act as deity -like figures overseeing the aura, one on the left and one on the right. Both of the human rabbits holds a small rabbit. In the middle, there is a triangle that disperses energy. The left rabbit channels the energy from the held rabbit, directing positive energy into the triangle tower, which transforms it into colorful light. This light then shines into the eyes of the right rabbit, dispelling the negative energy enveloping the small rabbit. Unfortunately, the right rabbit has absorbed a significant amount of negative energy, turning into a little demon. Glowing circle around the rabbits represent different auras and emotions.

Whispering tears
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Size: 56 x 82cm (Diptych)
RM 1,080
The character holded the buddy’s tears with its ears, symbolizing the act of listening to their pain. Poor communication, often stemming from a lack of listening and truly seeing the other person, is a key cause of relationship issues. Interrupting, rushing to conclusions, or demanding to be heard before understanding creates emotional distance and damages relationships. True listening requires patience and a calm mind, allowing us to enter another’s inner world and form a strong bonding.
Skipping Together
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Size: 63 x 89 cm
RM 1,880
The artwork explores the sorrow of a toxic relationship, highlighting unhealthy attachment styles like anxious and avoidant attachment. The characters’ bodies are unsettlingly intertwined, yet their faces turn in opposite directions, symbolizing disconnection. The bean represents internal fears rooted from family, personal beliefs, insecurities, or betrayal. The spiral signifies an repeating and endless cycle. Tears from a suffering character transform into a skipping rope, illustrating the potential for the pair to either break the toxic cycle and grow or remain trapped in it. The blurry painting technique also emphasizes unclear boundaries, reinforcing the theme. The work wishes to inspire the viewers to reflect on their own relationship with our closed ones.
