Golden Evening, Golden Triangle
August 29, 2016

KL offers one of Asia’s most exciting nightlife. From luxurious fine-dining to a casual night out, this city has it all.

The bustling Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur exudes an unmistakably business air during the day. However, as the sun sets, the city’s diverse characters come into play. Along Jalan Tun Razak, the stage is set for one of Asia’s most exciting nightlife scenes.

Those looking for a place to enjoy a 360-degree view of KL’s iconic skyline head to the Heli Lounge Bar at Menara KH. The lounge, situated at a converted helipad, is minimalistic in design, with makeshift plastic chairs and standard bar upholsteries, but the music is subdued, allowing for relaxed conversations. This ambiance, coupled with the sunset view of KL, makes for a romantic experience.

For a sophisticated twist to the traditional Malay cuisines, head to Bijan. One of the few restaurants serving kampung delicacies in fine dining setting, Bijan is consistently ranked among Tatler’s Top 100 Restaurants in KL.

Those who fancy a more casual dining experience may head to Stadium Negara. A favourite among the locals, the restaurant, located in a converted colonial home on Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, prides itself for serving authentic pork-free Malaysian Chinese cuisines made from fresh ingredients in a lively, no-frill setting.

For a pulsating evening, head to TREC, one of KL’s newest hotspots with a multitude of options attracting diverse crowd. Spot some hipsters at the Red Room, a quirky venue complete with its Brooklyn-themed interior, or mingle with the city’s yuppies at The Social or Avalon.

Nightlife enthusiasts should not miss Zouk, a flagship multi-storey club located just across the TRX development. There are multiple halls in Zouk, catering to different tastes in music. Prominent local and foreign DJs occupy the music booth, ensuring that everyone would make their way to the dancefloor.
