Acclaimed traditional dancer, singer, actress and choreographer, Zamzuriah Zahari, has made it her life's mission to keep ancient cultural arts alive in the modern world.

Originally from Kelantan and now based in KL, Zamzuriah teaches and performs regularly in an effort to showcase Kelantanese dance-theatre forms, especially Mak Yong, to a city audience. She also takes every opportunity to bring senior performers from Kelantan to bridge the gap between rural and urban, educating the new generation on their own cultural roots.
