Caring for pets is no different from caring for a family member, including providing nutritious food and ensuring their health and well-being. Especially in these pandemic times, pets can be a good companion for people isolated from family and social life, and thus helps to ensure the mental health of pet owners. In our latest COKL, we follow Dr. Alfred Lim Aik Sunn, on a typical day of a professional vet, as he cares for a menagerie of animals in his clinic, Pristine Veterinary Clinic in Mutiara Damansara. He also shares his professional experience since graduating from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2008 to the present day. Besides the normal duties of a vet, Dr. Alfred is one of the few vets here that offers veterinary dentistry. This generous man also decided to help during the height of the pandemic when he noticed the need in his community, by providing a food bank outside his clinic, for both humans and animals.
