It's Found Here, On The Rooftop

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 121.9 cm x 91.4 cm
Price: RM 1300

It's Found Here, On The Rooftop is a surreal painting inspired by the place where the idea for Dancing Milky Way first emerged—the rooftop of the Fine Art Faculty. This piece blends imagination with reality, capturing the moment of discovering a theme that opened new possibilities for exploring the beauty of the night.

A dark, starry door symbolizes this rooftop as a gateway to new ideas about the night sky. Simply by looking at the constellations, hidden planets, nebulae, and more can be seen with the naked eye. The black and white tiles represent hitam putih—a visual proof of the idea found in this very place.

Size: 122 CM X 91 CM (per each)
Medium: Acrylic, Industrial paint, White cement on canvas
Price: RM 4,600.00 (each)

Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, is a vibrant melting pot of cultures, ethnicities, and religions. Its diversity is reflected in its people, architecture, food, and festivals. Many Malaysians from all 14 states migrate here to pursue new opportunities, while a growing expatriate community from Indonesia, Singapore, and the West adds to its cosmopolitan charm.

Inspired by this rich multiculturalism, I created this series of artworks, using color as the main subject. The variety of people—locals and visitors alike—shapes the city's unique harmony. Through my exploration, I use warm and harmonious colors to symbolize the rhythm of life in KL, where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. This vibrant interplay of colors reflects the city's diversity, unity, and ever-evolving identity.

Generally, batik holds various meanings. But for this batik painting, it symbolizes the love, care, and the wisdom passed down by someone very dear—my mom. To me, it represents the unconditional love she has always given, a love that feels as warm and intricate as the patterns on the fabric. My mom, who has "lebih banyak makan garam," as the saying goes, embodies persistence and experience in life. It is a token of that bond, a piece of her—her love, her strength, her essence. Even now, the batik lies in my room, a reminder of her sacrifices, and the countless life lessons she’s shared with me. It’s a keepsake of her love, one that continues to inspire and comfort me every day.

The crashing waves surrounding the tiger represents Malaysia’s connection to its rich maritime history, with the seas playing an important role in trade, culture, and the livelihoods of its people. The interplay between the tiger’s raw power and the gentle blossoms portrays the balance between strength and grace—a reflection of Malaysia’s diverse yet cohesive identity.

Sekebun Rindu

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 152.5 cm x 61 cm
Price: RM1500

Sekebun Rindu is part of the Puding series. Pokok Puding has woven itself through the chapters of my life, its meaning shifting with time. In childhood, it was a simple delight—its tender, pointed leaves became my playthings, shaped by small, curious hands. Later, it stood as an ornament of home, lining village yards in quiet splendor. But now, consumed by the race for survival, I have lost sight of its beauty. It lingers still, yet unseen, drowned beneath the weight of a world chasing wealth and identity. Through my paintings, I breathe it anew—a testament to nature, to origins, to the divine. And when my story ends, the Pokok Puding will remain, a silent witness over my grave
