KUALA LUMPUR, 6 November 2017 – TRX City Sdn Bhd (TRX City), in collaboration with Department of Environment Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (DOE WPKL) Malaysia, is reaffirming its commitment towards building a sustainable future in Kuala Lumpur by launching the inaugural TRX Art Contest.
TRX Art Contest provides a platform for young Malaysians to express their vision for Kuala Lumpur’s sustainable future through creative visual arts.
Themed “Sustainable Kuala Lumpur”, the art contest, open to all Malaysian tertiary students of 16 years of age or older, seeks to explore the ideals of urban sustainability from the perspective of young Malaysians and how they can be reflected in Kuala Lumpur’s future developments.

As we build a greener future for Kuala Lumpur through the development of sustainable infrastructure at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), we are also aware of the importance in cultivating a sustainability-centric mindset amongst Malaysians. Through TRX Art Contest, we will also learn more about the environmental aspiration of Malaysian youth, which will help us realise our development, moving forward. I am very excited to see the manifestation of our youth’s idealism and creative energy through this contest.”
TRX City is also pleased to partner with DOE WPKL to enhance Malaysian youth’s awareness on the importance of sustainable urban development through this creative and highly visual platform.
