TRX Drives District-Wide Impact Through RE:Life Recycling Drive

30

April 2026

Kuala Lumpur, 30 April 2026: Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) has collected approximately three
tonnes of recyclable materials through the district wide RE:Life TRX Recycling Drive in April,
demonstrating how a connected district can deliver meaningful environmental outcomes through
collective participation.

Held throughout April’s Earth Month campaign, the initiative brought together office workers, retail
tenants and visitors across the district in a shared effort towards more responsible recycling
practices. The campaign outcomes were announced during a ceremony commemorating TRX
City Sdn Bhd’s admission as a new member of the UN Global Compact Network (UNGC), under
the Malaysia and Brunei Chapter. UNGC is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the
world, and joining the network supports TRXC’s continued emphasis in sustainability and ESG
practices.

The RE:Life TRX Recycling Drive was delivered in collaboration with Digital Nasional Berhad
(DNB), Exchange 106, and The Exchange TRX mall, bringing together key stakeholders to drive
participation and strengthen sustainability awareness across the TRX community. To encourage
contribution, the campaign also featured a lucky draw competition, with prizes including Aurum
Theatre tickets and a MacBook Air M5.

A key component of the campaign was the two-week e-waste and electrical collection drive at
Exchange 106, which saw items such as phones, powerbanks, laptops, TVs and kitchen
appliances collected and processed.

This was complemented by the Re-X Recycling Hub at The Exchange TRX mall which continues
to serve as a year-round recycling facility for everyday materials including paper, plastics, textiles
and e-waste, reinforcing the district’s commitment to accessible and ongoing sustainability
practices.

Highlights for E-Waste Campaign at Exchange 106 include:
Over 300 participants from 30 companies
An estimated 3 tonnes of CO2e reduction

Highlights for Re-X Recycling Hub at The Exchange TRX include:
Old books and magazines: 376kg
E-waste: 30kg
Clothing and textiles 527kg

Dato’ Azmar Talib, Chief Executive Officer of TRX City Sdn Bhd said: “As Malaysia’s International
Financial Centre, TRX has always been designed with a strong sustainability framework, and
through initiatives like this, we are able to activate the wider district in meaningful ways,
encouraging responsible practices while strengthening engagement across our tenants, partners,
and visitors.”

En Faris Najhan Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of Exchange 106 said: “Following the
encouraging response to our e-waste collection last year, we brought it back, and this year, the
turnout exceeded even that. Over two weeks, we saw not just our own tenants show up in full
force, but neighbours from surrounding buildings joining in as well. That is exactly the kind of
culture we hope to nurture within our community.”

Datuk Azman Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Nasional Berhad said: “At DNB,
sustainability is central to how we do business. Through the RE:Life TRX Recycling Drive, we are
proud to lead and implement an e waste programme that promotes responsible disposal and
greater environmental awareness—reflecting our commitment to building world-class digital
infrastructure alongside a more sustainable future for our community.”

Trevor Hill, Retail Director of The Exchange TRX said: “The Exchange TRX is honored to play our
part in the RE: Life TRX Recycling Drive. The Re-X Recycling Hub, located at Level B2 of The
Exchange TRX, has become a vital space for the TRX community to recycle, learn, and take
action together. This initiative reminds us that meaningful progress is only possible when we work
hand in hand, and we deeply appreciate the opportunity to contribute to a greener future alongside
our fellow TRX assets.”

The Re:Life: TRX Recycling Drive campaign works with recycling disposal vendors such as
ERTH, Klothcare, Riiicycle and AFES.
